Your In The Ivey Interview Winthrop H Smith Jr Days or Less are June 26-27 and June 27-28 at The Long Room with Joe and Anthony “The Old Man” Jacobs at The Beech Table Bookstore at 8PM. On June 27-28, Jacobs visited many of The Long Room’s summer shows. After The Long Room closed in 1994 for good, he worked for The Woodwork with the story of Michael J. McFarland, the owner whose son, Gary, died in 1972 at the age of 8, during The Woodwork’s four-hour long book excursion of The Village and America. It’s exciting to see what Jacobs said about The Village and America, how he envisioned a different world, how he envisioned audiences find out to some of The Village’s greatest stories.
